Is it really a good idea to use abbreviation as lemma titles? For a beginner it would be much easier to understand what a lemma is for if it has a intuitive name. So I suggest to rename this category to '''Developers'''. -- [[User:Sledz|SSZ]] 13:43, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

: I have no strong opinion on this one.  I like short URLs and things which is why I chose what I chose.  The most important branch is called org.openembedded.dev, not org.openembedded.development.  But feel free to make the changes if you think this would improve the site. --[[User:Laibsch|Laibsch]] 04:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Dev vs. Developers

Is it really a good idea to use abbreviation as lemma titles? For a beginner it would be much easier to understand what a lemma is for if it has a intuitive name. Also Dev is very ambiguous. Does it mean Development? Or Developers? Or Devices? So I suggest to rename this category to Developers. -- SSZ 13:43, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

I have no strong opinion on this one. I like short URLs and things which is why I chose what I chose. The most important branch is called org.openembedded.dev, not org.openembedded.development. But feel free to make the changes if you think this would improve the site. --Laibsch 04:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
One advantage to "Dev" is that it is easier to add categories to pages without making mistakes. It is my opinion that the advantages of changing to Developers at this point, do not outweight the hassle, broken links, etc. There are bigger fish to fry (at least for me) -- Cbrake 22:22, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
