Development in OpenEmbedded or any of it's sub-projects does not require membership in OpenEmbedded. However, membership does provide some benefits:
- Voting in elections for the OpenEmbedded board
- Voting in elections for the OpenEmbedded Technical Steering Committee
- Voting in elections for the 2 OpenEmbedded seats in the Yocto Project Technical Steering Committee
- Can join the OpenEmbedded mailing list for members
Membership is free
Membership process:
- email [board@openembedded.org] with a request to join and a link to [linkedin] or brief CV or something similar
- board will communicate with members to vote on you joining
- board will communicate results to you (2-4 weeks turn around time)
